Day Three - Corfu, Greece

View from the Dock

Seen on the way to the shuttle drop off

Entrance to the Fort.

View of a park across from the Fort entrance.

Statue in the park.

This seemed like their main square.  Pretty buildings all around.

I don't think this would pass our building codes ...

Dan with a Duchel or something like that ...

Another view of the Fort.

We walked along the edge of the street, right at the Sea, and you can see our cruise ship in the back.
Next picture is the Church

There were a lot of steps to get up to the church doors.

Stunning views walking along the street at the edge of the sea.

Saw a guy fishing for dinner as we walked along the edge.

And we could still see the Fort on our walk.

Our fishing buddy was still there in his designer shoes and leather jacket ...

Narrow streets, buildings right at the street, and walking at the edge of the Sea.  Isn't this what you thought Corfu would look like?

Just a shot of another street.

A map of Corfu in one of the Squares.

Once you moved in, you wouldn't want to move anytime soon!

A shot of an alley leading to a garden restaurant.

Part of the grounds at the British Cemetary.

The British Cemetary in Corfu.

An Apartment building we saw on our walk.

St. George's church inside the Fort.

Another view as we were walking along.

Entrance to the Fort.
This used to be an over/baker back in the day when the Fort was a going concern.

We stopped at a little cafe inside the Fort for an espresso.

A close up of the lighthouse at the Fort.

Looking up at the lighthouse.

More of the Fort, from the inside.

At the wishing well inside the Fort.
Another wish at the well.

This was their jail.

Long tunnel leading to another area of the Fort.

View from the top!

View of Corfu town from the top of the Fort.
View out to sea from the top of the Fort.

Dinner at Aquilina's that night.

Caught with food in my mouth!   And good food it was!
