Las Vegas Strip Parade of Nascar Haulers

Well, the Nascar Vegas race finally came and went.  We bought the tickets in September of 2012 for the March 2013 race.  We booked the flights so we would arrive on Wed, March 6 to see the parade of haulers.  Here's some pictures of the parade.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo - here we are on the other side of the street waiting for the trucks.

On our way out of the hotel, Dan threw $20 in a slot machine and came out  with this ticket - $291!!!

That's me waving - the trucks were so waxed and shiny the neon lights of the hotels and casinos reflected  back - you can hardly see the trucks.

Grand Canyon and Las Vegas!

Susie and Steve were going to Las Vegas for the Red Flag event, and I tagged along for the adventure.  Steve went to Red Flag on his own, for Tuesday and Wed, but all three of us went to the Grand Canyon on Monday.  Here's some pictures:

Like I mentioned, Steve went to the Red Flag event on his own, and on Tuesday, Susie and I went to a gun range and went shooting.  I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it!

They suggested a Glock 19 for me, and I'm really glad.  It was light enough and small enough that I felt I could handle it easily.
